Ard Na Mara is a newly built home which overlooks the charming Modesty Cove of Indian Harbour. It is the perfect place for a family holiday or romantic getaway. There are three bedrooms so there is plenty of room for up to six people. The view is of a typical quiet Nova Scotian cove with colourful fish houses and the occasional fishing boat going past.
The main floor with the kitchen, dining area and living room is open plan. Large windows give the sense of being on top of the water and make for a bright and spacious area you will not want to leave! Enjoy the large covered veranda off the living room to take full advantage of the view or enjoy a barbeque and dinner al fresco. The lawn below leads to the waterfront and the newly built wharf with swimming ladder.
The modern European style kitchen and pantry have all the tools you'll need to cook up a storm (better inside than out!). Fully equipped with a large island, stove, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and even some necessary utensils should you decide to cook up a lobster feast. You will no doubt appreciate the large window at the head of the dining table - the view is a picture worth a thousand words!
On the main floor there is also a laundry room with both washer and dryer, and a large four-piece bathroom. There is a lovely bright bedroom with a queen size bed and large walk-in closet.
Upstairs there are two more bedrooms and a four-piece bathroom with a large jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom boasts a private rooftop balcony with a birds eye view of the cove. There is a queen size bed, two dressers and a large walk in closet. The large second bedroom has two twin beds, a dresser and a spacious closet.
The large open plan basement has an additional seating area with a large TV and DVD player. Windows wrap around the whole area so that the garden and waterfront can be enjoyed from all angles.
Location
Ard Na Mara is located in Indian Harbour, just minutes from Peggy's Cove. It is a 30 minute drive to Halifax. Tantallon, (20 minutes drive) has all the amenities you will need (grocery stores, liquor store, public library, gas stations, movie rentals, etc.) Scroll down for a MAP showing the location of this property.
