Lighthouse Watch is a bright and cheerful bungalow, situated overlooking Indian Harbour and the mouth of St. Margaret's Bay. The house sits on a hill with a panoramic view of the cove, the picturesque Paddy's Head Lighthouse and the open ocean beyond. Savor the view from the wrap-around deck, which is perfect for chilling out any time of day. Or lounge on the deck of the above-ground swimming pool.
Inside the cottage you will find a spacious living room with a large window overlooking the water. The comfortable leather furniture is positioned for maximum appreciation of the spectacular view. The wood stove is there to enjoy on those cooler evenings. There is also a fully equipped eat-in kitchen and a separate dining room, with seating for six. In both the master bedroom and the second bedroom there are comfortable queen sized beds. The third bedroom, which has doubled for an office, has a pullout sofabed. There is one large bathroom in the house which has a shower stall as well as a large Jacuzzi tub (for two).
The house has approximately 100 feet of rocky oceanfront at the bottom of a tiered lawn. There is an above-ground swimming pool, which is perfect for those hot summer days. It isn't heated though, so it is best enjoyed in July and August.
Location
Lighthouse Watch is located in Indian Harbour, which is about an hour from the airport. Downtown Halifax is 40 minutes away and the famous fishing village of Peggy's Cove is only a few minutes away.
Tantallon has all the amenities you will need (grocery stores, liquor store, public library, gas stations, movie rentals, take-out restaurants, etc.) and it is a 20 minute drive. Scroll down for a MAP showing the location of this property.
