Appropriately named, this charming two-bedroom cottage sits perched on the edge of the Ingram River, just where the river opens into St. Margaret's Bay. You can see where the fresh water meets the salt water, just under the bridge.
The bungalow style cottage has everything you will need on one level. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area, laundry room, bathroom (with shower) and living room make for a very comfortable holiday cottage for up to four people. There are two bedrooms, each with a single bed, and a pullout sofabed in the living room. The real gem of this cottage is the large screened-in covered porch overlooking the river. Lined with colorful patio lanterns, this porch is a quiet place to relax and take in the sounds of nature, day or night.
Less than 100 metres from the front door is the "Rails to Trails" pathway that is ideal for walking or biking for miles, in either direction. Or if you prefer a swim, walk a few minutes down the road to the local swimming hole, where the river meets the ocean. If you prefer white sandy beaches, you will find a string of them all along the St. Margaret's Bay Road, the nearest within a 10 minute drive.
Perfectly located for accessing some of Nova Scotia's best tourist sights and activities; such as Peggy's Cove, Halifax, Chester, Mahone Bay and the Unesco World Heritage site of Lunenburg are all within an hour's drive.
The vibrant Hubbards Farmers Market is 10 minutes away and sea kayaking or whale watching can all be enjoyed and booked in St. Margaret's Bay.

Riverside Cottage is located in Ingramport, near the Head of St. Margaret's Bay. It is just 40 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes to downtown Halifax and also very near many beautiful beaches in St. Margaret's Bay.
