Sea Star Cottage is a charming two-bedroom cottage overlooking Indian Harbour and it's islands. The cottage is over one hundred years old but has been completely restored in the past year and is now a wonderful combination of old and new. This is the ideal place to spend a quiet week and truly get away from it all.
The main floor of this cheerful cottage has a living room (with seating for four) that enjoys a view over the water. The open plan dining area and well-conceived kitchen are bright and fully equipped. The bathroom has all new fixtures, including a combination bathtub/shower, and a stacking washer and dryer. Upstairs are the two bedrooms; one with a queen sized bed and the other with two twin beds.
Soak up the sun on the large back deck, or barbeque your meal on the propane grill.
A wooded path leads to the backside of the island, which looks out to the mouth of St. Margaret's Bay and the open ocean beyond. Here you can sit on white granite boulders, and rarely see another soul. It is a great place to whale watch - you might spot a minke or humpback whale swimming by.
Just a few minutes walk down the road is Paddy's Head Beach, a small and lovely sandy beach with crystal clear water. This beach is known to be one of the best locations in the province for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Sea Star Cottage is located in Indian Harbour, on Paddy's Head Island, which is accessible by bridge. It is just over an hour from the airport, 40 minutes to downtown Halifax and also near many beautiful beaches in St. Margaret's Bay.
The famous fishing village and lighthouse at Peggy's Cove is 5 minutes away. Tantallon has all the amenities you will need (grocery stores, liquor store, public library, gas stations, movie rentals, take-out restaurants, etc.) and is a 15 minute drive away.
