Great cottage, beautiful views, very convenient

We totally enjoyed our stay at Maple Hollow. While on the enclosed porch or at the dining table, we had a beautiful view of the water. The rooms and beds were cozy, the kitchen well-stocked, lots of Canadian and U.S. channels on the cable TV, the bathrooms clean. We rented bikes and used the bicycle path right near the cottage. What's great is the rural setting, yet we're only 30 minutes from Halifax on Route 103, which is like a U.S. Interstate Highway. We hope to return!

Excellent location, charming and well equipped cottage

The location of the cottage was perfect ..close to all attractions yet very private & cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed the sun porch for morning coffee and wine in the evenings. The cottage had everything you would require, was very clean and well maintained . Highly recommend this property !

Delightful Cottage with an Ocean Breeze

My husband and I enjoyed two weeks at this quaint cottage on the ocean. The constant ocean breezes kept the place cool. It was well equipped and very convenient to the exit to the highway. A great location to go further to the south shore or north 30 minutes to the city. Close to shopping and scenic views everywhere. The only downside was parking on the short driveway off the busy road, which made it a bit tricky to get in and out. Also a marker/reflector of some sort would help with finding it day and night. We hope to rent this place again and share it with our family.

Great place to getaway!

Maple Hollow is a charming cottage in a great location – 30 minutes drive from Halifax yet still in a scenic and quiet location. The cottage is a great shape and well stocked. Be sure to check out the St Margarets Bay bike/hiking trail just across the road and up any of the driveways. It runs for miles and makes for a wonderful day activity.

Comfort, Charm and Peace

We are a retired academic couple who have traveled extensively for the past 25 years. Our recent experience at Maple Hollow puts it among the most satisfactory places we have stayed. The location is private but not isolated and close enough to Halifax to have easy access to large city facilities. The cottage itself is in excellent condition and very well furnished and equipped. Our only complaint is that the kitchen is so well stocked with equipment that we had trouble finding cabinet space to store our groceries.
