This bright 3 bedroom, recently renovated cottage is the ideal location for a relaxing lakeside holiday. Located on Trout Lake, a family-friendly cottage community, this property enjoys two large decks, a garden and its own private sandy beach. Relax in any of these idyllic spots and take in the view of Trout Lake, and the sights and sounds of nature.

The modern kitchen, with open-plan kitchen and dining area, has a generous island and all new appliances, equipped with everything needed to cook up a feast. It’s ideal for entertaining, with the dining table comfortably seating 10-12. In good weather entertaining is just as easy outside, with access from the kitchen directly to the deck through the sliding doors where you will find ample patio furniture and a gas barbeque.

The living room is tastefully furnished including a flat screen TV, satellite and wireless internet services. From here the sunroom can be accessed, the most recent addition to the property. This is a bright and spacious space to enjoy the views, meals or to play games, even when it’s raining. Some guests have also said it’s an excellent room for yoga!

One of the three bedrooms is on the main floor, with a double bed and a large closet. It is next to a bathroom with a shower stall. On the upper level is the master bedroom, with queen-sized bed with lake views through the large sliding door, which leads to its own private balcony. The en-suite bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Across the hall is another bedroom, perfectly suited for up to three kids, with bunk beds and a twin bed. This bedroom also has its own bathroom complete with a shower stall. Laundry facilities are in the basement.

The house has approximately 150 feet of shoreline and enjoys a serene view of forests, islands and pristine water. The waterfront is perfect for swimming and is especially good for children as there is a large area of shallow water before gradually getting deeper. There is plenty of seating and a fire-pit on the beach where you can take in the sunset or the stars while listening to the water lapping on the shore. The house comes equipped with a canoe and three kayaks, and plenty of life jackets so a variety of age groups can explore the lake. In the summer, if you are really lucky, you may get a close up view of the resident family of loons or paddle past the beaver dam, and you will almost certainly see the hummingbirds!

Hummingbird Cove Cottage is located on a quiet road off Highway 10, about 15 minutes south of Middleton, or 25 minutes from Greenwood. Pal Bone (Hummingbird cottage, Trout lake, near new Albany )
Wonderful vacation for the whole family

I just want to start off by saying that the property is excellent. It's even better than in the pictures. Definitely no complaints. The property is top notch quality and everything is very tasteful and fun. The kitchen is beautiful and functional. There is a lot of space in the house and it is very clean. The lake is nice and warm and the kayaks are a great addition. We never used kayaks before but it is super easy and the water was very calm. The only minor concern we had was the poor internet quality which I think is not uncommon in a rural setting. I should also mention that to our surprise the tap water is very good quality with no discoloration or taste. Oh and the owner is super helpful.
