Seaglass Cottage

Seaglass Cottage truly is a home away from home. Built over 100 years ago, it maintains its old charm, but still has all of today’s modern conveniences. Rustic hardwood floors, exposed wooden beams and restored antique furniture give this cottage a very homey feeling.  

The cottage sits on a large 2.5 acre property facing out towards St Margaret’s Bay. The lawn and deck allow space for reflecting, reading and enjoying the ocean breezes.  The waterfront, though not accessible due to the cliff at the edge of the property, provides calming ocean views from above.   There are two sandy beaches, both within walking distance; Mill Cove Beach and Fox Point Beach.  Or drive a few minutes further and swim in the crystal clear waters of Queensland Beach.  

The main floor of the cottage  is open plan, with the living room, kitchen and dining area all enjoying views across the lawn, to the ocean beyond. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need and the dining table seats 7. A powder room and a laundry room are also on the main floor.

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms; two with queen sized beds and one bedroom with two twin beds. The main bathroom enjoys a clawfoot tub, complete with an ocean view, and a shower stall. 

Outdoor enthusiasts will be enchanted with the property as well as the location. Be sure to bring your bike or kayak, or take a tour with one of the local outdoor adventure outfits located very near by.   If you can't bring your own, you can rent locally.  This area has so much rugged coastline, beautiful islands and amazing sea life to be enjoyed. It is not uncommon to see dolphins, whales and even sunfish – to name a few.  

The quaint seaside town of Hubbards is a short five minute drive from the property.  There are so many things to enjoy locally; a great yoga studio, the Hubbards Farmers Market, the famous lobster dinners at the Shore Club - to name but a few.  St. Margaret’s Bay is known for its world-class sailing, beautiful beaches and picture-perfect coastal scenery.
